Four pure yeast isolates from whey beverage were phenotypically characterized and D1/D2 domain of 26S rRNA and Internal Transcribed Spacer (ITS) region sequenced. These isolates were identified as Clavispora lusitaniae EF221824, Candida sp. YS12A (DQ85776
