Of the 10 microbial strains studied, Streptomyces SN2 was found to be the most active producer of mycolytlc enzyme. For maximum protoplast (PP) release 3 fungal species, viz T reesei, aM 9414 (TR) Rhizopus niger (RN) and Aspergillus P-1(AP) were studied.
